How to Remove the Windows Insider Watermark

When using a preview build of Windows as part of the insider program a watermark is shown in the bottom right of the screen near the clock and taskbar icons. It is somewhat ugly and annoying to see when viewing the desktop. The watermark can be disabled using an application called Universal Watermark Disabler.

The watermark will come back whenever a new preview build is installed so keep the application handy on your computer.

Open the Universal Watermark Disabler and accept any security prompts along the way. You should see the window below.

Click the Install button and you will be shown a warning message as displayed below.

For the change to take effect the current session needs to be signed out so prepare to sign out and close all open applications. Click Yes to continue with disabling of the watermark. Once signed back in the watermark should be gone.
